Just bought the tape from Barbatos Prods., and well, I'm quite surprised when checked these guys are actually from Brazil. To be honest, it is pretty rare to see such bands with so distint sounding from these lands. Brazilian bands usually release short-lenght songs, and most of them sound aggressive and brutal. This, on the other hand, is melancholical, atmospheric and very dreary, though it is also aggressive sometimes. This release stars with an Intro played on clean guitars, which is so flat that it almost mesmerizes you, and when the second track starts, you are caught by surprise with a heavy riff, playing the same melody as the intro, but way heavier and faster. The whole instruments come all together, alongside with the vocals, and the song goes on, marked by a guitar playing riffs of rage and sadness, all mixed in one, until the song stops, followed by some synth that introduces the second part of the song, bringing a cold and flowing melody. I only wish the synth would follow this melody until the song's ending... The third track, which carries the title of the tape, has almost the same structure than the second one: it starst heavy and quite fast, with melancholical and sorrowful riffs, but its second part has a peculiar beauty. A riff introducted by a lead guitar, with strings played one by one, until the whole instruments come together, producing a very structured, amazing, strong and supreme melody. It is obviously the greatest part of the whole tape. You can fell the band playing in the same vibration, harmoniously, and it is truly beautiful. Then, by the ending of this track, we are greeted with an outroduction, which looks a lot like the intro, though with a more complete structure, with some more variations on the lead guitar... quite haunting and chilling, really. So, my final thoughts: a peculiar release, considering it is their first one. These guys have potential. They have good songs, a nice art and image, and one can see they have some creative genious. The only thing lacking here is some production that sounds more original, once this one may be a little bit boring sometimes.

very good release, old and grim, in the molds of true 90s black metal war!!!
