It's both amazing and sad that Marduk haven't been able to top Opus Nocturne in 18 years, and they probably never will. But this album will always remain!

Couldn't agree more, this is Marduk's true opus, and probably the real reason for their initial success.

Truly the best album of Marduk, of all the fantastic black metal they have released.

One of Swedens best albums, and a required component of the Second Wave-collection of black metal (among De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas, Hvis Lyset Tar Oss, Filisofem, Darkthrone's Unholy Trinity and In The Nightside Eclipse).

The first Swedish Black Metal album I ever bought in 1995. Still after 22 years when I hear Joakim af Gravf scream "praise hail Satan" after the intro and the song Sulphur Souls kicks in I get goosebumps.

Their best full length record, but their "Fuck Me Jesus" Demo/MCD is just as excellent.

A brilliant album in all ways. Atmosphere, sound, focus. Riffs. A great work.
