Results in for favourite Black Metal scene poll

Almost six years ago I published a poll to see which country's Black Metal scene you liked the most.

To be fair, the poll outstayed its welcome, and its premise was flawed to begin with. What was the point of asking users to choose a single country? Why would it matter? And why include some countries but not others? The truth is that not a lot of thought went into it, but at the time it seemed like a good follow-up to the previous poll (favourite genre).

I took the poll down some months ago, but for those wondering what the outcome was, here are the predictable and purposeless results:

Norway: 33.4% (627 votes)

Germany: 16.9% (316 votes)

Sweden: 8.6% (162 votes)

Australia: 8.5% (160 votes)

Poland: 4.8% (90 votes)

France: 4.6% (87 votes)

Greece: 3.5% (66 votes)

Brazil: 3.4% (64 votes)

Finland: 2.8% (53 votes)

U.S.A: 2.5% (46 votes)

Ukraine: 2.1% (40 votes)

Russia: 1.9% (36 votes)

Other: 1.7% (32 votes)

Austria: 1.2% (23 votes)

Italy: 0.9% (17 votes)

United Kingdom: 0.9% (16 votes)

Canada: 0.8% (15 votes)

Switzerland: 0.6% (12 votes)

Holland: 0.4% (8 votes)

Japan: 0.3% (5 votes)
